Welcome! Thank you for joining me on this journey of writing every day for 31 days in October. I’m so glad you’re here and I hope your heart is encouraged as you read my daily reflections this month.
For this year’s challenge, I’ve chosen the topic, Love Never Fails.
For 31 days this October (and beyond), I’m inviting the Holy Spirit to show me what breaks the heart of Jesus. I want to see with His eyes, feel with His heart, speak words that represent His love and embrace others with His care. I’ll be looking for stories and songs and daily interactions, and I have no idea where He will lead me. All I know, is that His Love Never Fails and I want to be alert and available to see where He works in my daily life.
His love never fails to embrace us, to challenge us, to reach toward us, to call us, to move us. It never fails to see human beings as He created them, not as failures or outcasts or beyond hope. His love never fails to see beyond what we think or feel or imagine is possible. I want you to feel that with me this October.
I’ll be using 1 Corinthians 13 as my guide, and thought I’d give you a glimpse of it here, as paraphrased by Eugene Peterson in The Message:
“…for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.” (1 Cor. 13:13 MSG)
