31 Grace-Full Days

In case you’re wondering what this is all about, here goes:

Myquillyn Smith over at The Nesting Place, hosts a 31 day writing challenge every October. The goal is to write something every day for the full 31 days of October; a significant challenge for me since I have a hectic life at work and typically only post on the weekends.

My theme for this challenge is 31 Grace-Full Days. What I hope to do is find moments full of grace in the everyday-ness of my life and post them here on the blog. There are a few reasons why I chose this theme:

  • While I can be thankful and grateful every day for many things, to find a grace-filled moment in every day requires more thoughtful listening – paying attention.
  • My thoughts recently have turned toward living a more grace-full life – actually acting in grace, not just talking about grace.
  • I want to spend my days as if they matter, not just to me but to those around me.
  • I want to practice pausing during my days and reflecting on moments that bring out passion in me and in others.
  • At the end of my 31 day challenge, I hope to have a lasting habit that lives on in me long after October 31, 2014 is over.

So journey with me will you?
